The Korea Atomic Industrial Forum, Inc.(KAIF) and the Korean Nuclear Society(KNS) jointly held the 29th KAIF/KNS Annual Conference at the BEXCO convention hall in Busan, Korea from April 16 through April 18, 2014.

About 656 experts from 12 countries participated in the conference and 50 papers from 6 technical sessions were presented. In the opening session, Dr. Hong, Doo-seung, chairman of Public Engagement Commission on Spent Nuclear Fuel Management(PECOS), Dr. Atsuyuki Suzuki, president of Pacific Nuclear Council(PNC), Mr. Hergen Haye, Head of New Nuclear & Strategy of UK Department of Energy and Climate Change(DECC) and Donald Hoffman, president of American Nuclear Society(ANS) made keynote speeches on each country's current situation, future prospect of nuclear energy. As a round-table discussion, 'PANDORA' was held after the opening session. 12 panelists from 6 countries participated in this session, 2 and half hours of discussion was moderated by professor Kune Y. Suh of Seoul National University.

Also, during the conference, the International Nuclear Energy Korea(INEK) 2014 exhibition, Meeting on Accompanied Growth with Nuclear-Related Corporations and Organizations and Nuclear PQ Traning Program as associate programs were held.
