The 2024 Nuclear Decommissioning Business Forum, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP), and organized by the Korea Atomic Industrial Forum (KAIF), took place on November 25 (Mon) at Westin Chosun Seoul.

In its 9th edition, the forum gathered 220 experts from government, industry, and academia to discuss the theme, “The Long Journey of Nuclear Decommissioning: Let’s Go Together.”

The forum featured two main sessions:

• Session 1: Focused on the current status and future prospects of nuclear decommissioning technology development.

• Session 2: Featured global decommissioning experts from Hyundai Engineering & Construction, JAVYS (Slovak Nuclear Decommissioning Company), AtkinsRealis, Westinghouse, and Orano, who shared their successful decommissioning experiences and lessons learned.

The event provided valuable insights into the nuclear decommissioning industry and fostered collaboration and knowledge sharing among key stakeholders.
