On March 26, Korea Atomic Industrial Forum and 한국수력원자력 hosted a briefing session in Korea with Candu Energy Inc. and Ansaldo Nucleare, the consortium partners for the Cernavodă Unit 1 Refurbishment Project of Societatea Nationala Nuclearelectrica SA in Romania. Over 180 participants from more than 70 Korean companies joined the event.

The session included presentations on the project and procurement plans, followed by a B2B meeting where procurement officers from KHNP, Candu Energy, and Ansaldo met directly with Korean suppliers.

The next day, Candu Energy and Ansaldo visited two major Korean nuclear suppliers(KMEC, WOOJIN Inc.) to see firsthand the strong capabilities of Korea's nuclear industry.

It was a meaningful event, and KAIF will continue to support the successful execution of the Cernavodă Unit 1 project while striving to bridge Korea’s nuclear supply chain capabilities with the global market.
